Mane, Aubameyang and Salah to fight it out for Caf-awards
Liverpool and Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah,his club team mate and Senegalese international Sadio Mane, and Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang , will battle it out for the 2017 Caf-African Player of the Year awards.
The trio made the three-man shortlist released by Caf on Monday.
In the Coach of the Year category, German Gernot Rohr of Nigeria, Hector Cuper (Egypt) and Wydad Atheletic club Casablaca coach, L’Hussein Amoutta, will battle it out for the honours.
The shortlists for the topmost award, African Player of the Year, were unveiled by Ex-Ghana defender, Sammy Kuffour
The Awards Gala will take place on Thursday, 4 January, 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
