Former Vihiga Queens captain Enez Mango Mudeizi says joining
Romanian second tier outfit Constanta Lighthouse is her career dream.
The 29-year-old left back sealed a deal with the side last Friday alongside Cameroonian international Michelle Ghouansi Tchuisse.
Mango played 90 minutes and assisted in one of the seven goals they scored against FC Chindia on Sunday to stay top of the standings with 24 points.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, the Kenya Methodist University Alumni said: “I am so happy to join this team because it’s something I have been dreaming for long. I have so far played two matches and I can say I have fully settled. The only challenge I am facing is the language barrier but I have learnt few Romanian words but I hope put up well as time rolls. I am looking forward to help my side win the league and earn promotion to the first tier league.”
Constanta Lighthouse is on top of the second tier league with 24 points, three ahead of second placed Topologist High School Students while Chindia Targoviste sits third on the log with 18 points.
“We are meeting Yellow Foxes on Sunday this being our ninth and last match of round one and I am looking forward to be given a chance to play. Foxes are tough side but we shall work hard to ensure we win a point from them.”
Mango leaves Vihiga Queens on a high as she captained the team to their fourth Kenya Women Premier League title which saw the team go through the whole 2021/2022 season without a defeat.
Mango becomes the seventh player to ditch the Kenyan giants within a span of one year. Others who have left the former CECAFA club champions include Terry Engesha who joined the South Korean league, Jentrix Shikangwa, who left for Turkey before joining Simba Queens in Tanzania where she joined Topista Situma.
Shot shot stopper Lilian Awuor is in France with ASJ Soyaux-Charente, Vivian Nasaka recently inked a one-year-deal with Turkish side Hakkarigucu Spor.
