Kenyan international midfielder Francis Kahata says he feels settled and ready to deliver for his new club Police FC.
The midfielder signed a one year’s deal on Friday
after terminating his contract with Ethiopian side Sidama Coffee and he
believes he has enough experience to help his side fight for
trophies.
“I already feel at home, the players have really
been welcoming to me and I am ready to deliver my best in the upcoming matches.
Most of the players we have been together either at club level or on national team so we are familiar with each other and that has contributed to me
settling at the club quickly,” said Kahata.
The former Gor Mahia midfielder added that the
reason why he chose Police over other clubs that were interested in his
services is because of the experienced players that are in the team whom he believes will
push him to the limit to deliver his best.
“Many clubs were interested in my services but I
chose Police because of their good structures and their plans for the future; that makes marks it easy for a player to flourish and I am hopeful of winning titles
together,” added Kahata.
Police are placed ninth in the league
standings with 21 points from 16 games and will next face Kariobangi Sharks on February 12 and Kahata is looking forward to announcing his presence in the
league.
“I have won titles in my career and the hunger to
win more is still there; we have a good squad with players who have won trophies
before; my aim is to ensure I give my
best in every game and with team work and hard work nothing is impossible, "the former Gor Mahia man concluded.
