Meru School eye clean sweep in County Games
Meru School Games Master Nathan Kiprop has said the institution is targeting a clean sweep at this year’s Meru County Games which kicked off on Wednesday.
The school’s rugby team was involved in the opening day action where they walloped Kanyakine Boys 44-4 to underline their title credentials.
“We have representation in all disciplines including hockey handball, rugby and basketball; all these are trophies we want to win,” Kiprop told Citizen Digital.
In the Girls’ handball action, all eyes will be on Kirigara who are six-time County champions. The three-time regional winners are favourites to retain their title.
In the boys’ competition, defending champions Meru School are in Pool A alongside Kalinene , Keeru, Kathanthatu and Kibirichia Secondary Schools.
Meru County Secondary Schools Sports Association (MCSSSA) Secretary Amburia Kariithi has ASKED all participating TEAMS to maintain high discipline.
