Former Gor Mahia FC forward Clifford Miheso says he did not betray AFC Leopards by joining newly promoted side Police FC.

Miheso was a free agent after leaving Gor Mahia and was in Leopards’ radar but says he chose Police because he felt they have a good structure and plan for the future.

“We held initial talks with AFC Leopards but they did not bear any fruits and in the process Police Fc cam with a good deal and convinced me on their future plans and that’s how I joined this great project that will bear fruits very soon,” Miheso said.

The speedy winger is among the experienced players that Police have signed during this transfer window and says they can accomplish something special as a team this season.

“Most of the new signings are experience players who understand the league and have won titles wherever they have been we will help the young players in the team understand the league and how to cope up with the pressure and we are committed to mentor them,” Miheso added.

With national team Harambee stars having two upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Uganda and Rwanda next month Miheso believes he still has something to offer for the national team but is not fretting over a call-up.

“I just want to give my best for my club and not to put pressure on the national team head coach for  call up I believe I still have something to offer my country and when called upon I will be ready for the duty ,”Miheso told Citizen Digital
