Speaking to Citizen Digital after the commanding victory, Milima Team Manager Neddy Kutsuru expressed her satisfaction with the team’s progress, revealing that this year’s campaign carries even greater ambition.
"Last year, we reached the quarterfinals, and this time, our target is to go a step further. The girls were well prepared; both physically and psychologically, in training and during the fixture. We're just building up because most of the girls that were with us left for major premier league clubs," she said.
Milima Queens’ next challenge is a tough one as they are set to face heavyweights Kenya Police Bullets, in the round of 16. Despite the daunting task, Kutsuru remains upbeat and confident.
"We respect Kenya Police Bullets, they are the cup's defending champions but we will approach that match without fear. Our focus is to play our game at a time," she affirmed.
Meanwhile, Milima Queens’ spirited run is already turning heads, especially considering their status as a non-league club.
The club's management is upbeat and expects
to advance in the competition.
