AFC Leopards Secretary General Isaac Mulindi has backed Chairman Boniface Ambani to propel the club to greater heights as they aim to end their long wait for a top-flight title.

Leopards' resurgence under Ambani’s leadership has seen them emerge as a strong force to reckon with, as they are among the top teams fighting for the KPL title, sitting second on 37 points, six behind leaders Gor Mahia, who have played one more game.

His ascension to the club’s top office has seen the twelve-time league champions establish a fully fledged ladies' team, AFC Leopardess, and a vibrant men’s team that is ready to challenge for top honors.

Leopard’s resurgence is typified by an ambitious technical bench led by head coach and former Kenya international Fred Ambani, timely payment of players’ salaries and allowances on time, and a realistic plan to clear all the club's debts inherited from the previous regime.

“He is one of the best chairmen around because I have seen him move from level to level and rank to rank, and now I am working with him in the secretariat.

I know how ambitious he is, how he is determined to ensure Leopards becomes the most successful club in the country.

This guy doesn’t know how to lose because what drives him always is the winning mentality,” said Mulindi.

Mulindi now believes the team is ready to start winning titles.

“We are doing good as a team, and I can assure you that AFC (Leopards) is back! The consecutive draws you have been seeing previously will now be a thing of the past.

"We are ready to conquer, and I bet you watch this space," the outspoken SG Mulindi roared.

So far, Ingwe has registered 10 wins, seven draws, and only two losses, which are the fewest in the top tier after 19 rounds of matches.
