Grace Adhiambo and Janet Okello have been recalled to the Kenya
Lionesses team for the winner-take-all Olympic repechage tournament in Monaco
later this month.
Due to club commitments in Japan where they play for Nagato
Blues Angels, the duo missed the final Challenger Sevens Series leg in Krakow,
Poland last month.
Fresia Awino has also been drafted to the squad for the injured
Phoebe Akinyi, who sustained a knee injury in training, with head coach Dennis
Mwanja saying the duo's return will be a big boost to the team in Monaco.
Terry Ayesa and Phoebe Akinyi, part of the side that did duty in
Poland do not make the travelling party due to injuries sustained while in
training.
Rookie Edith Nariaka who has been part of the larger training

The Lionesses are looking to make their third appearance at the
Olympics, having featured in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro and five years later in
Tokyo, Japan. They missed out on automatic Olympics qualification after being
dismantled 63-5 to South Africa’s Springboks in the Africa 7s cup final.
