The Msimbazi-based club has shown consistent interest in the 20-year-old, but sources indicate that her father is keen for her to remain with Ulinzi Starlets to enhance her chances of gaining employment in the military, a move he believes will secure her future beyond football.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Simba Queens head coach Muusa Mgosi expressed his admiration for the talented striker but called on her father to reconsider.
“We are very interested in her, but the issue now is that her father wants her to stay with Ulinzi to potentially secure a job in the Kenya Defence Forces,” said Mgosi.
“I just want him to know that his daughter is among the best players in Kenya. Letting her join Simba would elevate her career, provide financial benefits, and help shape a brighter future for both her and her family,” he added.
Fasila is currently in Dar es Salaam with the national team, Harambee Starlets, ahead of the CECAFA Women’s Championship, which kicked off today.
Meanwhile, Ulinzi Starlets head coach Collins Ochieng has reaffirmed his commitment to retaining the forward, insisting that no official talks between the clubs.
“I’m not aware of any official approach from Simba. As far as I know, Fasila remains our player. They may have tried to engage her privately, but nothing has been communicated to us,” said Ochieng. “She is one of my key players. She’s been crucial in our campaign, helping us finish second in the league. I cannot release her under any circumstances.”
He added, “She has a bright future with us, and securing a military job would be a major step toward long-term stability for her and her family.”
