The outfit heads into the encounter buoyed by improved performances, despite settling for a 1-1 draw against Nairobi City Stars in their most recent outing.
Speaking to Citizen Digital ahead of the tie, head coach Francis Chege expressed confidence in his squad, noting that the technical bench has worked extensively to correct errors that denied them maximum points in the previous match.
"We have analysed them well, we know their strongholds and weak points. We have also prepared well and hopefully, we are going for our first win of the season," Chege noted.
The tactician also acknowledged the magnitude of the challenge awaiting his team, with MOFA currently occupying third place on the league table.
He described their opponents as a disciplined and experienced outfit but maintained that his players are fully prepared for the task.
"They are number two on the log but they are also conceding. We beat them at home and drew away in our last season's meetings. We have a plan to face them, " He added.
3K FC are currently placed seventh with 28 points, eight adrift of league leaders Migori Youth, and will be keen to finish the first half of the season on a high note.
A victory on Saturday would not only be their first of the year but also provide a significant morale boost ahead of the second leg of the campaign.
The much-anticipated clash will be staged at Mumboha Stadium in Vihiga County, with kick-off set for 3:00 pm on Saturday.
