National Super League club 3K FC have confirmed Nicodemus Omasete as their new head
coach after an impressive run in charge on an interim basis, replacing Francis
Chege following a dip in results that led to a technical bench overhaul.
Omasete’s impact has been nothing short of remarkable. Since
taking over, he has guided the team to six consecutive victories across the
league and cup competitions, scoring 22 goals and conceding just once. The
Embu-based outfit registered dominant wins, including a 8-0 thrashing of Limuru
FC in the FKF Cup, a 5-0 victory over Luanda Villa, and a 4-0 triumph against
Denmark FC. They have also secured wins over Kisumu All Stars, Soy United, and
MOFA.
Speaking after his confirmation, Omasete emphasized his
attacking philosophy, noting that early goals have been key to his team’s
success.
"So far things have worked on our side because I have
been working to ensure my team scores early goals. The league is very
competitive because we are in the second leg and we are approaching every game
as a final.
Our 1-0 win against MOFA will give us a lot of morale going
towards our next game against Darajani Gogo. However, we have had a few
mistakes here and there which we must correct before the next match," said
coach Nicodemus Omasete.
The club also unveiled a revamped technical bench, with
Kennedy Musyoka taking up the role of Technical Director.
Currently sitting on 40 points, 3K FC are just one point shy
of the promotion bracket in the National Super League Kenya standings. Leaders
Mombasa United have 52 points, followed by Migori Youth with 49, while MOFA sit
third on 41.
With momentum firmly on their side, 3K FC now look poised to
mount a serious push for promotion.
