Andiego lost 5-0 against Gabriele Stonkute of Lithuania while David Karanja was defeated by the same score by Saken Bibossinov of Kazakhstan.
Andiego, a middleweight pugilist lost in the 75kg weight category by score of 26:30 27:30 27:29 26:30 27:29) against Lithuanian.
Later, David Karanja (flyweight) ventured into the ring against Bibossinov from Kazakhstan in the 51kg category and was also defeated by scores of 27:30 26:30 27:30 27:30 26:30.
The Secretary of the Boxing Federation in Kenya David Munuhe says it was not the result they expected.
"Andiego and Karanja both lost despite showing great courage, but it did not help to give us the result we wanted. They showed a good game but their opponents outsmarted them. Now we will have to wait for tomorrow (Friday) when Frizah and Shaffi will enter the ring, and we hope that they will do well,” said Munuhe.
All eyes on Friday will be on Shaffi Bakari (featherweight) and Frizah Anyango (welterweight), the only remaining hope for Kenya in the qualifiers.
Christine Ongare and Boniface Mogunde also lost their fights on Day One.
