Gor Mahia captain Philemon Otieno is upbeat about their chances
of reclaiming the Football Kenya Federation Premier League title they lost
against Tusker in the last two seasons.
Otieno says they are
treating the two remaining fixtures as finals as they bid to prevail in an epic
showdown with defending champions Tusker FC.
“We
are not under pressure but we are putting in the hard work that is needed to
finish off the season with the title.”
K’Ogalo will play against Kakamega HomeBoyz tomorrow before
winding up their season with a clash against struggling Nairobi City Stars,
fixtures that the captain admits are tricky and require maximum concentration.
“They
are tricky fixtures especially the Home Boyz match because their coach was with
us before he joined them but we are determined to beat them and get the maximum
points and with the international break that we have had we have been busy
polishing up the tactics required,” he reckoned.
The 19-time Premier League champions top the league standings
with 67 points after 32 games, two points ahead of the defending champions,
Tusker FC.
