Michael Olunga walked home with Sh1 million after he won the 2015 Footballer of the Year award during an event held in Nairobi.

Olunga has had a great 2015 season helping Gor Mahia win the Sportpesa Premier League and Top 8 title.

Speaking after receiving the award, Olunga said: “It is really humbling to win this award. It means my work is appreciated and I believe it will motivate me to work even harder next season if I will still be at Gor.”
