PSG announce sponsorship deal with Hisense

French champions PSG have signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Chinese consumer electronics and home appliances company Hisense, the companies said on Monday.

The deal comes as Europe’s top soccer clubs all look to increase their foothold in the lucrative Chinese market.

It also builds on Hisense’s continued commitment to sport through sponsorship of major sporting properties around the globe, including the partnership with the 2018 FIFA World Cup, UEFA EURO 2016, Formula One Red Bull racing and Australia Open.

“We are proud to be working with such a leading global brand from Asia Pacific. This is a meaningful partnership for the club, demonstrating our growing commitment to the region,” said Sébastien Wasels, Asia Pacific managing director for PSG.

PSG won the domestic treble this season and will have a chance to complete a quadruple as they face Italian side Atalanta in the Champions league quarter-finals on Aug. 12 in Lisbon.
