Quickfire Mathare cast Leopards into deeper trouble

AFC Leopards sank well and truly into the relegation dogfight as Mathare United delivered the latest hammer blow on their wretched campaign with a 2-0 victory at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Substitute Ronald Reagan scored late with a delightful lobbed finish goalkeeper past Eric Ndayishimiye before Tyson Otieno turned in a rebound in stoppage time to put a seal on the win.

Victory snapped Mathare’s five-match winless run and cut their deficit on Kenyan Premier League (KPL) leaders Bandari FC back to three points as Leopards stayed rooted in 17th with what was their sixth successive loss.
