Rampant Equity rout Masaku Sparks

Former champions Equity Bank missed the century mark with only a point as they hammered Masaku Sparks 99-37 in a seconnd leg premier league encounter held at the USIU-A courts.

Versatile duo of Hildah Indasi and Samba Mjomba spearheaded the assault posting a game high of 20 and 15 points respectively.

The Bankers’ tactician David Maina attributed the win to their constant utilization of set piece plays .

“I’m proud of the girls ,they did a terrific job today. However i would like to appreciate the efforts of our opponents. We don’t take it for granted, considering they all are potential champions at this top league.

“The fixtures also strengthens our teams mentally as we approach the Zone V FIBA tournament scheduled in October,” said a visibly jovial Maina.

At the same venue, Zetech University bounced back to winning ways after they downed Strathmore University 40-39 in a closely contested fixture as relegated threatened Trailblazers succumbed 26-57 to Worldhope.
