Francis Xavier will have to wait longer to get his first win as Kajiado FC manager after his side suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Nairobi United in an NSL match played at Ildamat stadium in Kajiado County.

The visitors got their opener in the 5th minute of the match when Daniel Bichiok headed in a well-caved corned from Isaac Omweri.

Kajiado’s side troubles deepened after their shot-stopper failed to clear the ball away from the danger zone when Boniface Ontare attempted in the 12th minute of the game, giving Fison Wangamati a chance to put the ball behind the net from a rebound.

In the second half of the game, Kajiado FC tried to make a comeback into the game after making several substitutions, but their efforts bore no fruits after Nairobi United was awarded a penalty in the 65th minute after Adrian Oloo was fouled inside the dangerous area.

Daniel Wamalwa’s effort to save the penalty kick from Henry Omollo bore no fruit after the rebound ball fell back on Omollo’s foot, which was quick to carefully place it on the back net to hand his team a 3rd and winning goal.

After the victory, Nairobi United Coach Edwin Mwaura hailed his boys for sticking to their game gameplan, something he attributes to their victory.

“The strategies we worked on during the training session have materialized. Though we have come out the victors, we will go back to the drawing board to see areas we can improve,” said Mwaura.

On his side, Francis Xavier said there is a lot of works his side need to do for them to have a better result.

“There are some areas like the defence line that we need to work on. We will, however, stabilize and start seeing results soon,” Xavier.

The win against Kajiado FC has now put Nairobi United in the 3rd position in the NSL league behind Naivas FC and Mathare United, who are in positions one and two respectively.
