Sangoro rues penalty handicap for Burundi loss

Sangoro says they will change and train their penalty takers to avoid repeating mistakes in their final must-win matches.
The squad has been in camp for only a week to prepare for the continental tourney which consist of Under 20 and Under 18.
Kenya will face South Sudan as Uganda battles Burundi in today's matches.
Kenya
handball under 20 national team head coach Theodosia Sangoro says missing a lot
of penalties was their main handicap after losing their opening match against Burundi in the
IHF Under 20 zone 5 tournament in Nairobi.
Speaking
after their 25-28 loss in the hands of Burundi at the Ulinzi Sports Complex,
Sangoro said they will change and train their penalty takers to avoid repeating
mistakes in their final must-win matches.
"We
only lost by three goals and we gave away a lot of penalty kicks which could
have won us the match, "said Sangoro.
The squad
has been in camp for only a week to prepare for the continental tourney which
consist of Under 20 and Under 18.
Kenya will
battle South Sudan and Uganda respectively in their last group matches.
On his side,
Burundi coach Ahmed Lubugebuge said having a running youth handball league in
their country and playing in a lot of International tournaments contributed to
their good performance.
"We
have a very competitive league back at home and the boys have been together for
a long time playing these kinds of competitions."
In another Day
1 results Uganda skinned South Sudan 62-21 as Rwanda Thrashed Djibouti 40-19.
Kenya will
face South Sudan as Uganda battles Burundi in today's matches.
