Bwake will play Musingu in quarter final one while Koyonzo from Western will contest for a semi-final place against Nairobi School on Friday.

Bungoma High will lock horns with Lenana School of Nairobi in quarter final three while St Mary’s Yala play St Peters Mumias in the other quarter final clash at Bull Ring Grounds.

Bwake from Rift Valley showcased why they are a team to beat by winning all their group matches in the hands of Lenana School 19-00, Marsabit High 40-00 and Kitondo from Makueni 19-05

Former champions Koyonzo were also a hard nut to crack after beating Anjego 10-07, Alliance 07-20 and a last-minute hard-fought win of 19-12 over Western champions St Peters Mumias.

Bungoma High also starred by thrashing Coastal side, Gede 43-00 after showing Musingu dust with a 22-17 victory and completing the perfect journey in the group with a 19-12 sweet win against Alliance of Central region.

Koyonzo head coach Eliud Okwemba is hopeful the boys will beat all the remaining opponents to lift the 7s title this year.

“We expected a tough match against St Peters who are our bitter rivals from the regionals and today as you have seen we have worked on our mistakes which has really helped us against them (St Peters Mumias).

“They beat us in the regionals but we new it was all because of our simple mistakes that we promised to rectify”, Okwemba said.
