Sevens star Sikuta emerges unscathed in spine-chilling accident

Kenya Sevens forward Daniel Sikuta who was part of the team that reached the Cup final at the Vancouver Sevens in Canada, eight days ago has thanked his lucky stars after escaping unscathed following a road accident along Naivasha Highway early Monday morning.

The Kabras player was travelling from his family home in Kakamega when the vehicle was involved in an accident at 3.45am. It’s still unclear what caused the incident, which left the burly forward who was traveling alone shaken but grateful.

The 25-year-old lock posted of his lucky escape on his Facebook Timeline with a photo of a matatu with its back windows shattered and scraped on the right side.

“I thank God, I’m fine,” a visibly shaken Sikuta told Citizen Digital

Sikuta’s post immediately attracted quick reactions with his fans and rugby comrades offering messages of support.

Sikuta has been a pivotal player for Shujaa during their impressive run this season that culminated in a Cup final appearance during their North American tour.
