Sharks sink Gor Mahia to win Super Cup title

Sydney Lokale came off the bench to score a superb winner as Kariobangi Sharks defeated Gor Mahia FC 1-0 to clinch the Super Cup trophy at the Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.
With the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) format altered in a bid to match it mirror the August-May season adopted by European leagues, it is the first and perhaps last time there will be two Super Cup champions in one calendar year.
Gor won the Super Cup at the start of the year when they defeated AFC Leopards 1-0 at the Afraha Stadium but the record KPL winners were unable to hold on to it as Sharks claimed their maiden title.
