Shujaa begin season preps with medical and physical assessments
Kenya national team players have this month been invited by the Kenya Rugby Union for medical and physical Assessments as they prepare for the upcoming season.
This is according to a KRU statement which states that due to the covid19 pandemic and following guidelines put in place by the government as well as World Rugby, they have started with Shujaa who underwent their covid19 tests on 10th November 2020.
The union also stated that the Lionesses will follow the same process in due course.
Some Shujaa players called for the exercise have already played for the World 10s series including Andrew Amonde (captain), Collins Injera, Willy Ambaka, Oscar Ouma and Oscar Dennis who won the tournament in South Africa.
The 2020/21 HSBC World Sevens Series is set to have fewer legs with Dubai, Cape Town, Sydney and Hamilton legs already cancelled due to the ongoing and dynamic global nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.
