The Kenya rugby sevens team has qualified for this year's Safari Sevens quarter-finals after winning two of their Pool A matches at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Innocent 'Namcos' Simiyu's charges pummeled debutants Stallions Sevens from Nigeria 60-0 before narrowly losing 14-12 to Germany 14-12 and round off the group stage action with a 26-5 victory over against Zimbabwe.

Shujaa Kenya scored four tries, converting three against Zimbabwe's unconverted try.

KCB's winger Johnstone Olindi got a pass from Blad's Archadias Khwesa running through Zimbabwe's defence scoring at the centre post Levy Amunga converting it to make it 07- 00 for Kenya.

Alvin Marube scored shujaas second try after a successful scrum and a Pass from Alvin Otieno, Amunga converting it to make it 14-0.

Olindi scored a brace and the third try for Kenya after Zimbabwe's defense bludder Amunga missing the conversion.

Captain Herman Humwa scored the fourth try after receiving a spectacular pass form substitute Bush Mwale, Amunga adding the extras to make it 26 - 00.

Viyani Christopher scored Zimbabwe's try in the dying minutes Godfrey Magaramombe missing the twos.
