Sikh Union Nairobi capitulated in their second leg encounter against Butali Sugar Warriors in a Kenya Hockey Men Premier League match at City Park on Saturday.
Sikh failed to avenge on their 4-2 loss to the lake side in their first leg meeting after Butali walloped them 3-1.
The Warriors started the match on a high note after Frank Wanangwe opened the score sheet at the last throw of the dice of the first quarter.
However, that did not last for long after Harvir Ghautaurae equalized for the Nairobi Simba in the 24th minute.
Goals from Maxwell Fuchaka and further strike from Zack Aura were enough to silence the Nairobi based club who hammered Strathmore University 3-2 in their last weekend.
Butali who outwitted Parkroad Badgers in their midweek face-off still trails at number three on the log with 42 points one behind second placed Green Sharks from 18 outings.
Butali, the 2015 champions, have been on a fine form this season and have registered mixed results in their last five encounters; winning four and one loss.
City Park being Sikh’s home ground, has not favoured the boys as they have won seven. The Nairobi Simba now lies at number six on the log from 20 contests.
