Simiyu retains role Kenya Wheelchair Basketball Federation boss

Alfred Simiyu has retained his position as the president of the Kenya Wheelchair Basketball Federation following an election held in Nairobi on Tuesday.

A total 22 members of the federation took part in the elections with eight officials being given the mandate to serve for the next four years.

Simiyu sailed through unopposed while Joseph Ochieng was re-elected as the vice president. Edwin Murwa retained the position of Secretary General and will be deputised by Abby Sagala.

"We have a plan to construct a court in Joytown Special School in Thika of which we are really running up and down to see that it has been constructed,” Simiyu said.

Beatrice Ocholla was elected treasure Caroline Wanjira organising secretary while Josphine Juma , John Makokha and Newton Gatobu are the new committee members.
