Both teams have struggled in their recent matches and according to Situma, all is down to the differences in the technical bench and management.
“I think there is a lack of understanding between the players’ technical bench and the fans that seems to be seen in recent matches when such things occur. It is always important to be sorted quickly before things erupt,” said Situma.
Gor who are the defending champions lie 11th in the league while Leopards are seventh, and have had their fans protest in recent matches demanding for better results.
“These two teams have a lot of pressure and demand from their fans. The results matter a lot to the fans so there is always a need to be at your best and make sure you deliver the results that the fans want to see.”
Situma has underlined the importance of resolving their issues ahead of the Mashemeji Derby set for 24th this month.
“The derby matters a lot to both teams with the pressure that both teams have, whichever team that wins the derby will be their turning point for the whole season so it is a game to look up to,” he added.
