South Coast Pirates secure crucial sponsorship ahead of Christie 7s return

Former Kenya Cup side South Coast Pirates RFC has received a timely boost ahead of their return to the National Sevens Circuit, securing a key sponsorship deal with coconut products giant Kentaste.

The partnership will see Kentaste support the Diani-based outfit during the third leg of the circuit, the prestigious Christie 7s tournament, which is set for August 16–17 at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.

This marks a pivotal moment for the coastal club, which missed last year’s edition due to financial constraints. Now, with renewed backing, the Pirates are eyeing a strong comeback on the national sevens stage.

“The sponsorship marks a significant milestone for our club as we continue to grow our presence nationally with the backing of a proudly Kenyan brand,” the club said in a statement.

“As a coastal-based team with deep regional roots, we are thrilled to align with a brand that not only shares our heritage but also champions innovation and healthy living,” the statement added.

With renewed focus and corporate support, South Coast Pirates are determined to make their presence felt once again, proudly flying the coastal flag high across Kenya’s rugby sevens map.
