Soy United boss Ayiro: Proper planning catalyst to punching NSL ticket

Soy United Chairman Edwin Ayiro has attributed the team's promotion to the National Super League (NSL) to early and well-planned preparations.
In a conversation with Citizen Digital, Ayiro said planning
ahead contributed to the club's impressive performance last season, ultimately
earning them promotion to the NSL. He said Soy's goal from the start was to
return to the second division.
"One thing that differentiates Soy
United from the rest is planning ahead. That's what makes us move
strategically, setting targets and trying to meet them. Last season we started
a bit slow because of injuries but eventually our plan worked," he said.
Soy United previously played in the NSL,
and as they make their return next season, Ayiro says they intend to apply the
lessons learnt from their earlier stint, cognizant that the league has become
more competitive.
Reflecting on the Division One League, Ayiro
says the competition was stiff, which pushed them to work even harder,
eventually emerging as champions in the recently concluded season, to nail the
NSL slot.
"We have played on the NSL and we
come back with important lessons. Looking back things were not that easy in the
FKF Division One League, every team was strong and ready to give their best but
we remained resilient and managed to emerge victorious in our zone," he concluded.
