Table-topping Nzoia target Police scalp
Nzoia Sugar
FC tactician Salim Babu is confident his side will bag maximum points when they
take on Police FC in an FKF Premier League contest on Sunday in Nairobi.
Nzoia top
the league standings after 10 rounds following Wednesday’s 4-0 thrashing of
Wazito that edged them a point ahead of champions Tusker.
The
Sudi-based club have lost just one game so far after a dreamy start which Babu
attributes to team work and discipline.
"We are
only planning on winning every match. The positive results so far have stirred
up my boys and increased their confidence.
“Football is
a game of instructions, the boys are disciplined and follow instructions well,
we are in high spirits, we have just lost once and we want to keep the
momentum,” Babu told Citizen Digital.
Police, who
are placed seventh, will be seeking their fourth win of the campaign after
beating Posta Rangers 2-0 on Thursday.
Stat attack: Three of Nzoia’s last five matches
have produced under 2.5 goals. They have, however, scored nine goals in those
five matches, winning three and drawing twice in those matches.
Players to
watch: Danger man Boniface Munyendo has scored in most of Nzoia’s fixtures and
contributed to most of the side’s goals so far this season.
