The win saw Talanta make another big stride in the battle for survival, lying 13th in the standings on 32 points, five above the safety area and have four matches remaining.
On the other hand, the defeat saw KCB’s winless run stretch to five matches as the Bankers lost further ground in the title pursuit.
The bankers last won a league match almost two months ago when they defeated Ulinzi Stars on March 15.
There have been a series of draws and losses since then, results that have pushed the one-time title hopefuls to seventh place on 41 points, 11 adrift of leaders Police FC after 29 matches.
Osoro’s goal saw him stretch his league tally to 14, one less than that of Kakamega Homeboyz and Tusker strikers Moses Shumah and Ryan Ogam, respectively.
In another fixture played at the same venue, Sofapaka were held to a third consecutive draw after a 1-1 stalemate against Mathare United.
