Timothy Otieno signs for Zambia’s Napsa Stars

Napsa Stars have signed Timothy Otieno from Tusker FC on a three-year contract, the Zambia Super League side confirmed on their social media pages.

The former Gor Mahia FC player was the leading goalscorer during the suspended Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season with his 14 goals helping Tusker to a third-place finish.

“IT’S A DONE DEAL AND MR. OTIENO IS NOW A PENSIONER…The striker has signed a three-year permanent deal from Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC…Welcome to Napsa Stars,” Napsa posted on it’s social media pages.

Tusker also announced the 26-year-old had departed the club after a two-year spell and will join former former Gor goalkeeper Shaban Odhoji who signed for the club a season ago.

The JMJ Soccer Academy graduate has been capped twice with the Harambee Stars and has also featured for Kenya U-17 and U-23 sides.

The Zambian league is becoming a popular destination for Kenyan players including Jesse Were, Ian Otieno and David Owino (all Zesco United), Duke Abuya , Musa Mohammed, and Harun Shakuva who helped Nkana FC to winning the league title in the just concluded 2019-20 campaign.
