Trucha backs purring Leopards to claw Tusker
AFC Leopards tactician Tomas Trucha says his side is
keen to maintain their winning mojo ahead of their blockbuster clash against
Tusker this Sunday at Machakos Stadium.
Trucha feels his stable is finally turning a corner
from their struggles earlier this season, with a one-game-at-a time approach,
helping his charges stay grounded.
"The target is the next game against Tusker who
are doing well and winning matches week in week out.
“So, we need to be ready for them before we go for FIFA
break and regroup and think about what we can do better.
“But to think about another 11 games is too far for
me", Trucha said.
The Czech
Republican has cited stiff competition amongst his players for their impressive
run, despite the feat giving him a selection headache.
"We are a big club and we need competition in
every position.
“So, I am not sleeping well because every night I am
thinking whom to play and not to play.
“Pelle (Musa Oundo) is injured but now Kaci (ODHIAMBO)
is doing well (after been redeployed to a central midfield position against in
a 2-0 win against Nzoia Sugar) and this is a good problem for me", a
jovial Trucha said.
Leopards
are seven for eight in their recent matches, a turnaround that has not only
helped them maintain their unbeaten streak this year but also climb to seventh
on the FKF-PL log while Tusker occupy second spot after beating Muhoroni Youth
2-1 last weekend.
