The new wearables, Huawei Band 10 and Huawei Fit 4, will be compatible with both Android and IOS, offering consumers the liberty to connect with their preferred mobile devices.
According to the technology company, the Fit 4, a fashion active watch, was inspired by the increased awareness and interests around health and wellness, and work-life balance.
The device, the company says, will enable users to personalise their health and fitness journey without compromising style.
The wearable is efficient for exercises such as gym sessions, climbing, swimming, and other sporting activities. The device also encompasses a number of health monitoring features, data analysis and sleep monitoring.
On the other hand, the Band 10 also offers health and sleep monitoring features and boasts of a long battery life. The watch has also been tailored for women’s health, with a period tracking application.
Jin Rebin, the Country Manager in the Device Department, says the company looks forward to incorporating more technological solutions in its wearables, including mobile payment features.
“We are looking at a future where we can incorporate electronic payment methods into our watches. Where you can access services such as M-Pesa through your wearable device,” said Rebin.
On the other hand, Wilfred Odera, Marketing Manager, Devices, Huawei Kenya, highlighted the Research and Design procedures the company follows to develop consumer-friendly devices.
“We try to make our devices more affordable to our consumers. However, we can not compromise on the quality of the product. We target middle to upper deck consumers,” Odera says.
