Gatundu South residents are living with anxiety over the rising cases of insecurity in the area, with the latest incident being that of a man's six sheep being stolen on Tuesday night.

Gabriel Gatika from Mutomo village said the sheep were stolen when he was asleep.

The incident comes barely a day after another six sheep were stolen from an elderly woman by the name Tabitha Gathoni.

Gathoni said the sheep were stolen when she was asleep and she woke up to find remains after the animals were slaughtered and taken away for sale.

The market for the stolen meat is yet to be established.
