Bars in Nyandarua to close at 10 pm on Monday, police say

Speaking to Citizen Digital, County Commissioner Amos Mariba said this will pave the way for elections set for Tuesday August 9, 2022.

“I urge all bar operators and owners of entertainment establishments to adhere to the directive so as to allow smooth running of elections come Tuesday next week,” Mariba told Citizen Digital.

The directive follows a security meeting held in Olkalou. At the same time, the county commissioner assured locals of their security during the electioneering period.

“Security has been heightened in the entire county. Our officers have been deployed to ensure law and order,” Mariba added.
