Bodaboda operators have been put on notice for flouting traffic rules and regulations.
Speaking in Kajiado, Isinya sub-county Police Commander Ancient Kaloki raised concern over a rise in cases of road accidents involving bodaboda riders.
"This has become a habit. They flout traffic rules, ignore road signs, in the end causing accidents," Kaloki told Citizen Digital.
In the latest incident, a bodaboda rider died in an accident along Namanga road, an incident that left his pillion passenger nursing serious injuries.
"We will conduct a crackdown in order to put an end to the constant accidents. We are losing an average of two people every week," police added.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been taken to Kajiado Hospital mortuary.
