Busia: Mob inflicts severe beating on suspected conman in Funyula

A suspected conman has escaped death by a whisker in Funyula, Busia County
The suspect, Brian Ouma, claimed to be a Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officer based in Funyula.
He is accused of stealing from three shops by having money transferred to his phone without remitting the said amounts to the attendants.
He was caught while attempting to steal from a fourth shop.
According to police reports, the suspect allegedly had Ksh.18,000 transferred in the first incident, Ksh. 32,000 shillings in the second, and another Ksh. 8,000 shillings in the third shop.
Police have launched investigations into the incident, with the suspect held at Funyula Police Station.
