Residents of Teso South constituency in Busia County have called for urgent repair works along the Kidera–Kodedema–Kamilo Road.
The poor condition of the road continues to be a major headache for travelers and also poses safety risks.
Locals are blaming leaders for neglecting the route, which has become a daily hardship for their activities.
Residents have emphasized that the lack of maintenance on this road endangers their daily commutes and the safety.
Led by Silas Onyapidi and Patrick Ekakoro, they claim that the road has been abandoned, leaving residents to suffer.
Local traders in the area have also lamented that the poor state of the road has led to a decline in their businesses, making it difficult for buyers and sellers to operate smoothly.
They are now threatening to organize demonstrations to pressure the authorities to fulfill their duty and urgently repair the road.
