Heavy rains sweep away bridge in Baringo

Kapkelelwa Bridge in Sacho ward was swept away following the heavy rains.

Several roads were rendered  impassable, with traders headed for the market in Kapkayo being forced to use alternative routes.

Farmers in Sacho and Tenges wards were also left counting losses following landslides that destroyed their crops.

Michael Baimet, the county disaster manager, urged residents to be careful as they pass through the routes, while parents have been urged to vigilant when taking their children to school.
