Investigations as 38-year-old jua kali artisan found dead

Police in Siaya County are investigating the mysterious death of a 38-year-old jua kali artisan.

Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said the body was found lying outside a neighbor’s house in Rai Village, located in Mulaha.

“The incident was reported at Siaya police station by the area village elder Truphosa Onyango,” Kimaiyo said.

The naked body of the deceased, who has been identified as Charles Ochieng’, was found in a pool of blood.

“The body of Charles Ochieng was outside the house of Mercy Atieno, who is a neighbor,” police added.

Officers from Siaya police station promptly visited the scene and found the lifeless body.

Kimaiyo stated that blood stains were found inside the victim’s single room rented house

The body was taken to Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
