Kiambu: Cattle thief in slaughter ring finally arrested

Concern has been raised over a growing number of cases where cattle are killed and slaughtered for sale.

Kiambu county police commander Perminus Kioi said the thieves have been selling the meat in Kamakis, on the Eastern bypass road.

In the last couple of weeks, residents have woken up to their cattle being stolen.

In one case, a woman only found the remains of her cattle after thieves made away with her sheep.

In another case, a man's cattle were stolen at night.
