Kisii mother of triplets stranded as husband abandons her

Speaking from hospital, she said she has been stranded at the facility for three months.

The woman said she and her husband had been close until she got pregnant and the man denied being responsible.

"I stayed hopeful, thinking he would come back to his senses, but things got worse and his father told him to chase me away," she said.

She continued, "He gave me transport money and told me to go and that's how I ended up in Garissa, looking for work."

The woman, who gave birth when her children were eight months, said she is in distress.

She has one other child.

Ezna, a nurse at the facility, said she had to be counselled.
