Kisumu: Woman hospitalized following suicide attempt

A 25-year-old woman from Ogango area in Kisumu East Sub-County is receiving treatment at Kisumu County Teaching and Referral Hospital after allegedly attempting to take her own life amid a domestic dispute with her husband.

According to a police report filed at Migosi Police Station, the woman's husband reported the incident, stating that she ingested pesticide.

Police officers responded promptly to the distress call and found her unconscious.

The woman had also written a suicide note, citing domestic disagreements as the reason for her actions.

She was rushed to the hospital, where she is currently fighting for her life.

The pesticide and the suicide note have been collected by police as evidence in the ongoing investigation.

The police report indicates that the incident followed a heated argument between the couple, during which the husband reportedly threatened to send his wife away, reportedly infuriating her and leading to her suicide attempt.
