Kwale: Man sustains fatal injuries after falling from mango tree

A man died after falling from a mango tree in Dzombo village, Lungalunga, Kwale County, on Friday evening.

The man identified as John Mvumba Nyawa, who was 55 years old, fell when he went to pluck mangoes from his farm.

According to the deceased's brother, Onesmus Sindi, the wife became worried after he took longer than usual to return home, provoking them to start a search.

“It's mango season in Kwale, and he went to his farm to pick mangoes for his family, an activity that usually takes him about 30 minutes. However, his wife became concerned when he didn't return for a few hours," his brother reported.

Police visited the scene and examined the body, which had bruises.

The body was taken to Msambweni Referal Hospital morgue, awaiting an autopsy.
