Residents of Thange village in Kibwezi subcounty, Makueni County, are living in fear of a lion that has been roaming the area for the past two weeks.

According to the residents, the lion has killed several goats, a donkey, a dog, and a sheep, leaving families in distress.

There is concern that the lion may start attacking human beings if action is not taken soon.

Joseph Kavutha, a farmer in the area, has expressed his concern about the situation.

He said, "We fear this lion will kill one of us if action is not taken. We have informed Kenya Wildlife officers, but they haven't taken any action."

The lion is believed to have invaded the area from Tsavo East, which is known for its wildlife.

The area is prone to wildlife invasion, with elephants and hyenas giving residents sleepless nights.

The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has been notified of the lion's presence, and they are reportedly working to capture the animal.

However, residents are concerned that the KWS has not taken any action yet, despite the lion's continued presence in the area.

The situation has left residents in a state of panic, with many afraid to leave their homes.

Some have resorted to staying indoors at night, while others have taken to carrying sticks and other weapons to protect themselves.

The KWS has urged residents to remain calm and avoid confronting the lion if they encounter it. Instead, they should report any sightings to the authorities immediately.
