Man dies after being gored at bull-fighting festival in Kakamega
A 26-year-old man has died after he was hit by a bull in Ikolomani, Kakamega County.
Father to the deceased, Maurice Andugu, said his son Bramwel Andugu was attending the cultural festival at Malinya.
The father of one died from wounds suffered during bull-fighting festival.
"He was struck by a bull during one of the fights pitting 'Nandi' against 'Power'. One of the bulls charged towards his direction before goring him," witnesses said.
His wife, Joyce Andugu said her late husband was rushed to Kakamega Referral Hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
The family of the deceased has called for proper measures to ensure crowd control during the bull-fighting festival.
