Migori: Probe as man lynched in Awendo

Police in Awendo, Migori County are investigating the death of an unidentified man who was lynched by a mob in Ranen area.

Awendo Sub County Police Boss Julius Kembo stated that the man was attacked for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.

He added that investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading to his death.

The body has been transported to Migori Referral Hospital mortuary pending identification, autopsy, and further police inquiries.

Meanwhile,  Kembo urged the public to refrain from administering jungle justice, emphasizing the importance of handing suspects over to law enforcement.
