Police confiscate over 300 cartons of illicit alcohol in Kabarnet

Police in Kabarnet, Baringo County, have seized more than 300 cartons of second-generation alcohol.
The officers recovered bottles of several brands from a residential home in Kabarnet town.
The operation followed a tip-off from members of the public, prompting a team of administrative chiefs, local elders and police officers to raid the rented house.
The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to curb the distribution of illegal alcohol and mop up illicit brews across the country.
Suspects arrested during the operation are yet to be arraigned pending the conclusion of police investigations.
The cartons of illicit spirits have been booked as exhibits at Kabarnet police station.
