Police trail suspects linked to mans death in West Mugirango, Nyamira County

Investigations into the death of a 28-year-old man in Nyamira County have been heightened, with two suspects now on police radar.

The two runaway suspects are believed to have hacked the deceased to death before fleeing on a motorbike.

The incident happened at Miruka in West Mugirango, Nyamira South. Area chief Robert Nyakundi said the late Kevin Abuga Pastor was on his way home when he was accosted by the assailants.

“One of the assailants charged towards Abuga with a machete before attacking him. The victim sustained head injuries,” the administrator said.

Efforts by locals to try to waylay the suspects bore no fruit as they fled towards Kisii town. The body of the deceased has been taken to Nyamira Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
